Spooky Crit is a first-of-its-kind race in Southern California, designed to combine the thrill of criterium racing with the grit and challenges of gravel/cyclocross. Racers and spectators are encouraged to dress up to enhance the Halloween inspired atmosphere. All bikes are welcome - MTB, gravel, cyclocross… just no e-bikes.
Between races, attendees can visit numerous retail booths and participate in the raffle while enjoying food, beverages, and music.
All net proceeds will be donated to LA fire relief and rebuilding trails lost during the recent fires.
Event Schedule & RAce Classes
Spooky Crit is open to all levels, from pros to amateurs, and will include the following race categories at the times listed below on Saturday, November 1st:
9:45 AM – Day-of Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
11am - Kids Race - Free!
11:30 am - First Timers (20 mins + 1 lap)
12:10 pm - Costume (12:10 PM (20 mins + 1 lap)
1 pm - Clunker Crit (20 mins + 1 lap)
1:45 pm - Age Group Women (20 mins + 1 lap)
2:15 pm – Open Men & Open Women Athlete Meeting/ Q&A
2:30 pm - Age Group Men (20 mins + 1 lap)
3:30 pm - Open Women (30 min + 1 lap)
($10k Prize Purse, Pays 3 Deep)
4:30 pm - Open Men (35 min + 1 lap)
($10k Prize Purse, Pays 3 Deep)
Racers will be allowed to preview the course between races as time permits.
** Note, we will be running awards throughout the day after the conclusion of races**

Registration & Packet Pickup
Day of registration will be available.
Day-of registration and packet pickup opens at 9:45 AM.
The registration tent will be in the parking lot of the Lunda Bay Little League Fields.
Registration will remain open until 30 minutes before the next race.
We encourage anyone interested to race in multiple categories — come for the ride, stay for the fun! We will be offering discounts for anyone racing multiple races, just come talk to us at the registration tent.
Parking & Event Access
Parking is available at Palos Verdes Intermediate School and along the east side of Palos Verdes Drive West (the side of the street adjacent to the venue). Please avoid parking on the west side of Palos Verdes Drive West to minimize dangerous street crossings. Be mindful that there may be racing going on as you enter the venue.

Neutral Mechanical Support
South Bay Cycles and Velofix will be providing neutral mechanical support on race day.
Merchandise, Donations, & Raffle
Exclusive Spooky Crit merchandise will be available for purchase on-site.
Pre-ordered merch will be available for pick up at registration.
Proceeds and donations go directly toward LA fire relief and trail rebuilding.

Vendors & Exhibitors
Food, water, and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day from Ciao Bella Mobile Pizzeria.
We’ll also have an exhibitor expo featuring local brands like Shift Bicycle, Rapha, Velofix, Santa Monica Mountains Composite youth mountain bike team, and South Bay Cycles.
Open Men & Women Categories Only
There will be an Athlete Meeting at 2:15 PM before the Open races for final questions and to announce a few Tricks and Treats.
A reminder to our elite racers: Both the Open Men’s and Open Women’s fields will compete for an equal $10,000 prize purse, paying three deep.

Wrap Party
You did it! Even though the Singularity is infinite, there will be a Warp Party to gather with all the friends you’ve made on your journey.
Sand
This is your chance to take home a piece of the Singularity! Join us on an expedition to bottle up the sand on the event horizon for our permanent collections.
The tours will be led by experts in the field, leading us down a winding trail full of discourse on the upcoming unforeseeable changes to human civilization.
Infinity Meet and Greet
Slip into the Singularity with one of our signature Infinite Cocktails, while you’re whisked away by the hypothetical future sounds of irreversible technological progress.
As day turns to night and time collapses in on itself, a wide collection of gourmet food trucks will be available to delight even the most spherical palate.
